In the spring of 2024, I had the valuable opportunity to work as a UX Design Intern at the Samsung Design Innovation Center in the Bay Area. I contributed to a project aimed at enhancing user experiences across various form factors, including pens, watches, and refrigerators. This involved trend analysis, competitive analysis, user research, visual interface design and collaboration across teams. Due to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), I cannot share specific details until the project is publicly launched.

Summary

  • Demonstrating active collaboration and proficient communication to meet project milestones.

  • Cultivating a confident approach to collaboration and resource acquisition over time.

  • Acquiring valuable insights into user research and study methodologies through close collaboration with the UX Research team.

  • A relentless focus on prioritising user’s needs. This commitment fostered the creation of intuitive and impactful solutions.

  • Accurately identifying and understanding the user's true problems became a central focus, along with validating those challenges. This experience underscored the importance of developing well-founded hypotheses and rationales to effectively resolve user issues.

  • The pinnacle of my internship experience lies in my growth as a designer and as a person.
